This is a space for visitors to the RPS Village to share ideas, knowledge or directions relevant to their quest for employment or income.
Several folks have been in touch to ask if they can use the site in this way so I though a separate space made most sense.
It’s a self-help zone in the ‘we’re all in this together’ spirit of the times. So if have an achievement you want to celebrate or share. Or news you think others would be interested in pop a comment up here.
Remember normal rules apply. So nothing unlawful please.

It is good to see that people are trying to defend public services.

Gordon, thanks for these links. This is not a political blog site so signposting the links is not an endorsement. It’s signposting. Best wishes, RPS
I set up the newlifenetwork.co.uk careers website as a free resource for those experiencing redundancy back in 2005 when no one seems to be that bothered that 2000 people were being made redundant every day even before the current recession. I subsequently published ‘Rebuilding your life after redundancy’ (now on its 3rd edition and still the top book in its category) and have two other sites – mygraduatecareer.com for the 16 to 25 age group struggling to get their feet on the first rung of the career ladder and myexecutivecareer.com which is aimed at experienced professionals. I am happy to receive your suggestions on new resources and articles for any of these sites.
Janet, thanks for the comment. I’ll look at your sites and grab a copy of the book. RPS
Happy to help with a bit of free advice – access to some resources you may not have considered – just drop me your email address.
Dear Janet, thanks for the offer. I will be in touch. RPS
